Dodgers, Braves, Game 1: What you need to know

The Dodgers’ road to a second consecutive world title finds a team of brave men, who know how close they came to their rival last year, as an obvious obstacle.

Atlanta and Los Angeles are competing for the National League Championship for the second year in a row. The Braves held the 3-1 lead in 2020 before the Dodgers responded with three straight wins to claim the Old Circuit flag at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

“I don’t think anyone would expect to confront the Dodgers for justification,” Braves manager Brian Snicker said. “We are happy to be here and playing baseball well. I think we are a very confident team now.”

The Braves would have the advantage of the local stadiums, because the Dodgers qualified as one of the Wilds. This means that Game 1, 2, 6 and 7 will be in Atlanta, while the rest will be played in Los Angeles – all seven games if necessary.

What will the formations look like?

Who will be the starting shooters?
Dodgers: Los Angeles had hoped not to use Max Scherzer in Game 5 of the NL Division Series against the Giants, but the right wing ended up closing out the game with a goalless ninth game. Therefore, loyalist Corey Knebel will start the first game two days after his work on a blank run as the opener in Game 5. Tony Gonsolin is expected to release most of the game once Knebel is out.

What will the bulls look like?
Dodgers: With a day off on Friday, the Dodgers should rest at the start of the series. No Savior has made more than one round in SDLN 5. Kenley Jansen and Blake Treinen will remain final role options

brave: Right hand Jacob Webb and left AJ Minter were used as bridge until the seventh inning. However, Matzek was recently given the opportunity to overcome tight points in the seventh or eighth inning. Luke Jackson was Will Smith’s head coach.

brave: Soler can miss SCLN entirely. He was put on the COVID list before SDLN Game 4 and will be out for at least 10 days.

Who is coming or not?
Dodgers:
Mookie Betts went 4 vs 4 in a 5 game against the Giants and is by far the best Dodgers hitter today. The league man scores .458 (3 for 11) with a home run in six post-season games. On the other hand, Justin Turner is struggling on the plate, having scored just two strokes in his first 24 playoff games.

brave: Freddy Freeman scored three hits, including a first in the eighth, to give the Braves the decisive victory in Game 4 of SCLN. Adam Duvall has had a pair of hits in his last two games against the Brewers. For his part, Travis Darno 12-2 with six strokes and Swanson 15-3.
